Overview:
The mission of the Geo TLD Interest Group is primarily to represent the unique views and interests of those who are operating a to- level domain that is based on a geographic name (such as .Berlin or .Tokyo), geographic identifier (such as .nyc) or geographic origin (such as .irish or .ruhr) with the purpose of servicing the respective geographic region. Secondarily, the Geo TLD Interest Group is to represent the views and interests of those who have been and/or are engaged and/or intend to be involved in the advocacy, promotion, provision, governance, implementation, deployment, popularization, research and development of top level domains which are based on a geographic name.
