If you are new to the ICANN community, new to the ICANN meeting week, or returning to ICANN after a period of time away and in need of a refresher, this day is for YOU! The Newcomer Day Program is a series of informative, interactive discussions about ICANN and the Internet ecosystem held in a casual atmosphere led by staff and community members.
Morning:
1000 –1200 Members of the ICANN Global Stakeholder Engagement team representing the Europe and Eastern Europe region will discuss the role of ICANN in the Internet Ecosystem and the Multi-stakeholder model
Afternoon:
1330 – 1630 Interactive Discussion on the Work of ICANN
including: Policy Development and Support, the IANA Function, DNS Industry Engagement including GTLDs, Security, Stability and Resiliency work and Planning Your Week Advice
1630 – 1730 Informal Break out Groups hosted by staff and community members focused on how: End Users, Private Sector, Technical/Security, Civil Society and Gov't Sectors work within ICANN
